My favorite Sport.

I want to write about my favorite sport and it is Taekwondo. It has been my favorite sport for almost four years, and it still is, even though I’m not practicing it anymore.
I want to tell about the history of Taekwondo, how it is today, and how you play it.
Taekwondo which is a martial art, was invented in South Korea, many years ago.
It is difficult to say, exactly when it was invented, but it was more than 4000 years ago.
Somebody says that Taekwondo came from China, but the truth is, that it was another martial art, Soo Bak, which reminds very much about Taekwondo that came in the same year, and it looks like Taekwondo in many ways.

History

In the year 37 years before Christ, Taekwondo became a reality. There was a war between 3 kingdoms; Koguryo, Baekje and Silla. Silla was the smallest one, and they had to do more than the other in order not to loose the war. They developed Taekwondo, and they used it so they could even kill a man with it!
Taekwondo had been in the world before the war between the 3 kingdoms, but in the " Silla-war" it was really used.
More and more thought Taekwondo was good, and they wanted to know more about it. They learned what Taekwondo was, and all the good and bad things about it, and it became a martial art.
Then some people from Korea, moved to Europe, and told about the new sport.
Germany was one of the first countries, which were interested in Taekwondo, then it moved to other countries and The USA.
Now it is a world-famous sport.
In Denmark there are many clubs, there are about 300, and in Esbjerg there are two clubs; Esbjerg City Taekwondo (the club I joined) and Cheong Young (it means the dragon).

How to do

I can tell something about kicks, and what they’re against.
"Ap chagi" is a front kick, you can kick in the head and the stomach. "Ap" means front, and "chagi" means kick.
"yeuop chagi" is a side kick, you can kick your challenger in the side, in the kidney or on the hip…
It was some of the basic kicks for Taekwondo. There are many other kicks and knocks, but the two kicks are the most important kicks in Taekwondo, and if you’re going into a fight.

In the fight

You have to put on riot gear, when you’re in a fight, because you can get vey hurt.
You can kick in the stomach, ot the fightvest, and then you score one point.
The rules are:
Don’t kick in the head!
Don’t bite or hold in the challenger’s clothes.
And do not go back, then you will loose points!
Taekwondo means: Tae=foot, kwon=fist, and do means the art, or the way to the art…
Conclusion: The foot and the fist way to the art!

My Favorite Sport

My favorite sport is volleyball. Volleyball is a team sport played by two teams on a playing court divided by a net. The net is about 2,43 cm high.

The object of the game is for each team (6 players on each team) to send the ball regularly over the net to ground it on the opponent’s court, and to prevent the ball from being grounded on its own court. The ball is put into play by the right back – row player who serves the ball by hitting it over the net to the opponent’s court. A team is allowed to hit the ball three times to return it to the opponent’s court. A player is not allowed to hit the ball twice consecutively, except when attempting a block.

The rally continues until the ball touches the floor, goes "out" or a team fails to return it to the opponent’s court or commits a fault.

The team winning a rally scores a point. When the receiving team wins a rally, it gains a point and the right to serve, and its players rotate one position clockwise.

The team that first scores 25 points with a minimum two – point advantage, will win each non- deciding game. If there is a deciding game, it will be won by the team that first scores 15 points with a minimum two – point advantage.

Today there are more than 24 million Americans who play volleyball. And there are 800 million players worldwide who play volleyball at least once a week.

The history of volleyball starts in 1895. William G. Morgan, an instructor at the Young Men’s Christian Association also called TMCA in Holyoke, decided to blend elements of basketball, baseball, tennis and handball to create a game for his classes of businessmen which would demand less physical contact than basketball. He created the game of volleyball (at that time called mintonette).

Morgan borrowed the net from tennis, and raised it 6 feet 6 inches above the floor, just above the average man’s head.

During a demonstration game, someone remarked to Morgan that the players seemed to be volleying the ball back and forth over the net, and perhaps volleyball would be a more descriptive name for the sport. On July 7, 1896 at Springfield College the first game of volleyball was played.

From that day volleyball became very popular. First of all because volleyball is a very social sport. You have to work with each other and you have to get a good communication with each other to get success.

Volleyball equipment is nothing special. You can wear FLEECE PANTS.

To the FLEECE PANTS you can wear a black T – shirt with an imprinted volleyball.

Instead of the FLEECE PANTS you can also wear a MINI MESH NYLON SHORT. These fun and fancy dazzle shorts have a white nylon lining for color contrast. You can get them in colors like black, royal, purple and light blue.

A volleyball player will suggest that if you play volleyball on a regular basis that you spend the money to buy good quality leather volleyball. Playing the game with a good quality leather ball can make the game much more enjoyable, and lees painful on your arms.

You can use the volleyball in games, and to do drills to improve your game. You can do drills on your own or with a partner or group of players.

First Olympics with indoor volleyball was in 1964 in Japan. Who won The

Olympic Games in Sydney, I don’t now unfortunately. But I now some of the volleyball stars, and I will tell a bit about them.

First there is Yoko Zetterland. She is born Marts 24, 1969 in San Francisco. She is 180 cm tall and weighs 65 kilos. Her father is Swedish, and her mother was on of Japan’s national team volleyball players. Her Japanese name is Yoko Horie. She graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo. In 1991, she took on American nationality. She won the bronze medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games as a setter of the US national volleyball team.

Motoko Ohbayashi is also one of the volleyball stars. She is 182 cm tall and weights 67 kilos. She became a national team player as a high school student in 1985. She has been Japan’s ace attacker since 1988 Soeul Olympic Games. She has joined Hitachi in 1986, but was fired from the team in 1994.

Hitachi was attacked by many, for taking such action. Motoko went to play in the Italian league, then she joined Toyobo in 1995.

The most popular volleyball players generally come from Japan and U.S.A. And volleyball also has the biggest popularity in these two countries.

comprehension about sport للصف التاسع

السلام عليكم ممكن comprehension عن sport بس يكون ملائم للصفوف الصغيرة ومشكورين

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته,,

Today with the speeding step of life, more and more people spend their most time in working. Of course, it is necessary for us to devote ourselves in working, but sports can bring us energy and high efficiency and some abilities in cooperating with others.

Firstly, basketball can improve the consciousness of cooperation. The goal when we play basketball with our team against another is not for awards but for the proud when we are successful. And team work teachs us the bad result as the bully

Secondly, badminton can improve the feelings between the couples. As badminton for amature is not so high stress as boxing, so most women love this kind of sport. If husband and wife can play together on sunday for about 2 hours, the love feelings will be improved.

Space Travel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
For travel through space, see Human spaceflight.
Space Travel was an early computer game that simulated travel in the solar system. It was the development of this game that spurred the development of the Unix operating system.[1][2][3][4] It is sometimes claimed that the unrelated game Spacewar! had led to the development of Unix. While Spacewar! was an early (and much more popular) computer game, such claims are not accurate and have likely arisen from confusion of the two different games.

Development history
The game was originally written in 1969 by Ken Thompson for a Multics system, then ported by him to Fortran on a GECOS system, and eventually ported by Thompson and Dennis Ritchie to a PDP-7. It was in the process of porting the game to the PDP-7’s assembly language that Thompson and Ritchie wrote underlying code that eventually grew into the original UNICS/Unix operating system. Some consider Space Travel the first Unix application program.
A human spaceflight is a spaceflight with a human crew, and possibly passengers. This makes it unlike robotic space probes or remotely-controlled satellites. Human spaceflight is sometimes called manned spaceflight, a term now deprecated by major space agencies in favor of its gender-neutral alternative.

As of 2022, only the Space Shuttle program and the Soyuz programme are actively launching human spaceflights. The Shenzhou program last launched a human spaceflight in 2022.
Introduction
While the observation of objects in space—known as astronomy—pre-dates reliable recorded history, it was the development of large liquid-fueled rocket engines during the early 20th century that allowed space exploration to become a practical possibility. Common rationales for exploring space include advancing scientific research, uniting different nations, ensuring the future survival of humanity and developing military/strategic advantages against other countries.

Space exploration has often been used as a proxy competition for geopolitical rivalries such as the Cold War. The early era of space exploration was driven by a "Space Race" between the Soviet Union and the United States; the launch of the first man-made object to orbit the Earth, the USSR’s Sputnik 1, on October 4, 1957, and the first Moon landing by the American Apollo 11 craft on July 20, 1969 are often taken as the boundaries for this initial period. The Soviet space program achieved many of the first milestones under Sergey Korolyov and Kerim Kerimov, including the first human spaceflight (Yuri Gagarin aboard Vostok 1) in 1961, the first spacewalk (by Aleksei Leonov) in 1965, and the launch of the first space station (Salyut 1) in 1971.

After the first 20 years of exploration, focus shifted from one-off flights to renewable hardware, such as the Space Shuttle program, and from competition to cooperation as with the International Space Station. From the 1990s onwards, private interests began promoting space tourism. Larger government programs have advocated manned missions to the Moon and possibly Mars sometime after 2022.

Various criticisms of Space Exploration are sometimes made, on cost or safety grounds, but the people of many countries are nevertheless usually supportive of programs.

[First orbital flights

Laika, in 1957, became the first living being to be launched into space. The first successful orbital launch was of the Soviet unmanned Sputnik (Satellite I) mission on October 4, 1957. The satellite weighed about 83 kg (184 pounds), and is believed to have orbited Earth at a height of about 250 km (150 miles). It had two radio transmitters (20 and 40 MHz), which emitted "beeps" that could be heard by any radio around the globe. Analysis of the radio signals was used to gather information about the electron density of the ionosphere, while temperature and pressure data was encoded in the duration of radio beeps. The results indicated that the satellite was not punctured by a meteoroid. Sputnik 1 was launched by an R-7 rocket. It incinerated upon re-entry on January 3, 1958.

This success led to an escalation of the American space program, which unsuccessfully attempted to launch Vanguard 1 into orbit two months later. On January 31, 1958, the U.S. successfully orbited Explorer I on a Juno rocket. In the meantime, the Soviet dog Laika became the first animal in orbit on November 3, 1957.

[First human flights

Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space. The first human spaceflight was Vostok 1 (East 1), carrying 27 year old cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin on April 12, 1961. The spacecraft completed one orbit around the globe, lasting about 1 hour and 48 minutes. Gagarin’s flight resonated around the world; it was a demonstration of the more advanced Soviet space program and it opened an entirely new era in space exploration — human spaceflight.

The U.S. first launched a person into space within a month of Gagarin’s flight with the first Mercury flight, by Alan Shepard. Orbital flight was achieved by the United States when John Glenn’s Mercury-Atlas 6 orbited the Earth on February 20, 1962.

Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space, orbited the Earth 48 times aboard Vostok 6 on June 16, 1963.

China first launched a person into space 42 years after the launch of Vostok 1, on October 15, 2022, with the flight of Yang Liwei aboard the Shenzhou 5 (Spaceboat 5) spacecraft.

atmosphere was driven by rocket technology. The German V2 was the first rocket to travel into space, overcoming the problems of thrust and material failure. During the final days of World War II this technology was obtained by both the Americans and Soviets as were its designers. The initial driving force for further development of the technology was a weapons race for inter-continental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) to be used as long-range carriers for fast nuclear weapon delivery, but in 1961 when USSR launched the first man into space, the U.S. declared itself to be in a "Space Race" with Russia.

Kerim Kerimov was one of the founders of the Soviet space program.Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, Robert Goddard, Hermann Oberth and Reinhold Tilling laid the groundwork of rocketry in the early years of the 20th century.
Wernher von Braun was the lead rocket engineer for Nazi Germany’s World War II V-2 rocket project. In the last days of the war he led a caravan of workers in the German rocket program to the American lines, where they surrendered and were brought to the USA to work on U.S. rocket development. He acquired American citizenship and led the team that developed and launched Explorer I, the first American satellite. Von Braun later led the team at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center which developed the Saturn V moon rocket.
Initially the race for space was often led by Sergey Korolyov, whose legacy includes both the R7 and Soyuz—which remain in service to this day. Korolev was the mastermind behind the first satellite, first man (and first woman) in orbit and first spacewalk. Until his death his identity was a closely guarded state secret; not even his mother knew that he was responsible for creating the Russian space program.
Kerim Kerimov was one of the founders of the Soviet space program and was one of the lead architects behind the first human spaceflight (Vostok 1) alongside Sergey Korolyov. After Korolyov’s death in 1966, Kerimov became the lead scientist of the Soviet space program and was responsible for the launch of the first space stations from from 1971 to 1991, including the Salyut and Mir series, and their precursors in 1967, the Cosmos 186 and Cosmos 188.[2][3]
Other key people included:

Valentin Glushko held role of Chief Engine Designer for USSR. Glushko designed many of the engines used on the early Soviet rockets, but was constantly at odds with Korolev.
Vasily Mishin, Chief Designer working under Sergei Korolev and one of first Soviets to inspect the captured German V2 design. Following the death of Sergei Korolev, Mishin was held responsible for the Soviet failure to be first country to place a man on the moon.
Bob Gilruth, was the NASA head of the Space Task Force and director of 25 manned space flights. Gilruth was the person who suggested to John F. Kennedy that the Americans take the bold step of reaching the Moon in an attempt to reclaim space superiority from the Soviets.
Christopher C. Kraft, Jr., was NASA’s first flight director and oversaw development of Mission Control and associated technologies and procedures.

Gellaina was an old Bahraini game. My father used to play it when he was in my age. Gellaina isn’t just an old Bahraini game, it’s a traditional game.

Two friends usually play the game. One in a circle made on the ground, big enough to for him to stand in and the second stands around 50 feet from the circle. The guy in the circle holds a bat and the other holds a short stick. To get the other’s attention, the one holding the short stick shouts “Yaay?”, and if the other is ready he shouts “Yaay!” back. So the guy outside the circle through the little stick to try and get it in side the circle, but the guy inside the circle tries to hit the little stick with the bat while it’s still moving. If the little stick falls in the circle the guy outside the circle wins, but if the guy inside the circle hits it with the bat or the stick falls outside the circle, they count the distance between the stick and the circle using the bat’s length.

That used to be played everyday in Bahraini, kids considered it as a prayer! But that isn’t happening anymore.

Misfortune

A few years ago, I traveled with my family to London. The trip started well. Suddenly things started to go wrong one by one. First, the bank canceled my father’s account. We didn’t have any pocket money. The hotel threw us out, because we were paying the rent week by week and the bank canceled the account on the last day of the week. We couldn’t even send a letter to any of our family member’s for help. My father kept going to the bank everyday because of the cancellation of his account. Out of nowhere, my mother found a few hundred of pounds in on of my father trousers which were for times like this. We were able to buy some food and live in a cheap motel. A week later, the bank reactivated my father’s account and he bought a ticked to Bahrain as soon as that happened. That was an experience that I don’t want to repeat!

My favorite game

There are lots of new games now days. But my favorite game is basketball, I like it because it is exciting and enthusiastic, also I believe that this game give the player confidence and patience. In our days some people takes it as a profession job. They make a lot of money just from it and they will be very famous and popular to other people and fans who like this bore less sport.

I was playing this game since I was a child, now I play it in Bahrain Club with a team called “The Freedom Team”. Last year our coach took the team on camping in France. We learned a lot of things there and we challenged high standard teams. Our team won the cup and I won the golden medal for the best player.

Professional Sport

Taking sports as a profession has many advantages and disadvantages. The main advantages are health, wealth, and fame, while the main disadvantage is the sacrifices.
If you accept sports as a profession then you will have a good health condition, which is something you can never buy. Gaining a well amount of money and becoming rich is another thing. You will be able to buy things you never could buy before such as cars and houses. Fame is something that comes naturally with wealth. The richer you are the more you become famous.
However, there is a problem which is the sacrifices you have to do. Training all the time is one of the sacrifices. Having to give up most of your personal time to be in a four, or more, walled room is a big sacrifice.
But if you don’t take sports as a profession the disadvantages would be the advantages!

Winning Money

Two years ago I won 25 Million Bahraini Dinnars. I became very happy. I stayed up for three nights thinking about what I would do with my money. The first thing I did was giving my parents 3.5 million and my brothers one million. Then I bought two cars and hired a driver. Of course one was a sports car and very fancy and the other was fancy but luxurious. Then I added lots of accessories to both. After that, I rebuilt my house and some of my friend’s houses. I rebuilt my school, too. I bought lost of facilities for my school. I bought new computers for the computer laboratory. I traveled to many places such as France, Britain, America, Japan and Germany. Afterwards, I started thinking about the future, and the best way to increase to my money, so started a business to increase my money. And now I am able to buy and do more things.

Famous Sport

Scelelengo is an old Bahraini game. I used to play it a lot with the neighbors. My father used to play it when he was young too.
Only two teams play it. The first team must defend three or four cans, filled with sand, that are standing on top of each other, while the second team must try to hit the cans and make them fall using a small ball. If the cans fall then one of the first team members refills the cans while the others try to hit the second team members with the ball.
Usually, that’s how I used to play the game in my old neighborhood, but now things are different. I am not even sure if anyone plays that game anymore.

Misfortune

Last week I had the worst luck ever. I went on a picnic with my friends and everything just went wrong. In the beginning everything was smooth and nice; the Sun was shining and the sky was blue, cool wind blowing. A day couldn’t be better which made us go on a picnic.
So we decided to go to the forest. When we reached the right spot and started putting everything out, that’s when a smooth day started converting into a living Hell! First, the Sun disappeared and the sky turned grey and black then it began to rain for a few minutes then the rain became hail! The wind blew away our food and stuff. When we tried to use the car and go home, we discovered that we lost the keys! We couldn’t use our mobile phones because of all the rain and hail. So we searched for a shelter until the situation changed which took a few ساعة. In the end, everything went back to normal and I called my brother and he came to take us back home. My friend called one of his parents to bring the spare keys but still the car wouldn’t start, so he went home with his parents. That was the worst luck I ever had in my life.

Professional Sport

Athletics is a matter, which can frequently prove difficult to write about due to its complexity and wide subject area. To analyze the topic in simple terms we can identify the main advantages and disadvantages of being a successful athlete.

The key advantage of being an athlete is gaining perfect health condition. Becoming a successful athlete can also bring a certain amount of admiration with it, from people the world over. Having the spotlight of the media aimed at you and your career, which can be a benefit to some, most often generates this acknowledgment. Furthermore, this fame and popularity can often deliver the athlete wealth, an obvious advantage.

Despite these benefits, there are also a number of disadvantages, which can be associated with becoming a successful athlete. Sacrifices must be made in order for an athlete to reach the top, and then maintain that position. A large majority of the personal life must be given up for training purposes. This training is often repetitive but is essential if the athlete wants to succeed.

Therefore to be a player, simply possessing the knowledge of how to play is not enough. Knowing, and being willing to accept the advantages and disadvantages which come with the task is all required in order to excel.

The year 2022

By the year 2022, I will have had finished school and college for quite a while. I will be working as a pilot for fourteen years. I should have visited lots of countries and cities like London, New York City, Detroit, Florida and Bombay. I will have had many souvenirs if I worked as a pilot. I will have had a luxurious car before that time and might be having a sports car as well. I will have been married for ten years and will probably have had two children by then. It will be hard having more children because I will be flying most of the time. My wife might have visited many countries because she might get free tickets. I will have been living with my wife and children in a villa underground for years.

Winning Money

My friend won a large sum of money, if I was in his place I would do lots and lots of stuff. First, I will give most of it to my parents. I would rebuild my house. I would repaint my room and redecorate it. I might build an underground room for me. Then, I would rebuild my school and buy new facilities for my school. I will lend a few of my friends some money or I might even give it to them. I would buy two cars, a sports car and a luxury car. I would buy lots of clothes and suites. I would donate some money for Palestine and the poor. I build a mosque or two for the people for judgment day. I might buy an Island and live on it. I will save some money to get married in the future. I might buy a land for the future too. I might try to start a business to make more of what I have and hopefully I will
