*Introduction

This report by Mohammad Alamin a student in Abdulkadir school . It talk about Education in UAE .
Before the discovery of oil, there was a very little development in the Arab peninsula. There were only religious schools where the children were taught by the Mutawaa. Their schools were made of palm trees and certainly no proper educational system. In 1962, when oil production started in Abu Dhabi, the country had only 20 schools for less than 4,000 students, most of them were boys. The country lacked the necessary transportation for development (hospitals, proper, housing, airports, etc…) as well as qualified human resources.
The discovery of oil provided the necessary finances to improve the education system.
This was a high priority for His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE president, who declared: “youth is the real wealthy of nation.” His aim was to use the oil revenue to develop academically and technically qualified citizens –men and women- able to serve their country in its future progress.
When the UAE was established in 1971, education was still largely limited to inner-city areas, and there were less than 28,000 students in the country. Any student wishing to go beyond secondary education was financed by the government and had to go abroad, sometimes to other Arab countries, but mainly to England and the United States.

*Process:

Education in General
The UAE educational system was established at the beginning of the 1970s, and contains four stages, spanning 14 years of education: 4-5 year olds go to kindergarten, 6-11 year olds go to primary schools, the opening stage provides for children aged between 12-14 years, and 15-17 year olds go to secondary schools. The UAE provides a broad education system for boys and girls, with free education for nationals in governmental schools, colleges and universities. The private education part is always being improved and supplies for nearly 40% of the student population. Some of these schools offer foreign language education for different refugee communities and follow the program of the concerned countries. For example, children can go to English, French, German and Urdu schools.
Educational Strategy
The Ministry of Education and Youth has established a plan, to be applied over the next 20 years, to further develop the education system of the UAE. Their major concern is to make sure the development of methods and programs that stick to the latest international standards, with particular focus on introducing the latest IT resources at all levels. For example, one of the goals is to provide one computer for every 10 children in kindergarten, every 5 students in primary schools, every 2 students in preparatory schools and one computer per student in universities.

The emiratisation of teaching staff is scheduled to reach 90% by 2022, in order to ensure that the Islamic principles and traditions of the UAE are sealed. A Planning, Development and Evaluation Office has been created by the Ministry to oversee the strategy’s accomplishment.
*Findings
Today, every village in the UAE has its own primary school, a number of secondary schools in the cities offer boarding facilities to make sure that a greater percentage of the population has access to education. To complete the educational system of the UAE, the first higher education establishment in the Emirates, the UAE University, opened in Al Ain in November 1977. Since then, over 20,000 graduates have passed through its doors. More recently, Higher Colleges of Technology ($$$$ men’s and women’s) have opened in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, teaching Business Administration, Accounting, Chemical Engineering and much more. Zayed University for women opened in 1998.

There are also several career and technical education centers for those looking for useful training in their chosen careers. These include the Emirates Institute for Banking and Finance and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Career Development Centre.
In 1999, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, inaugurated the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT), providing a unique education program for all nationalities. Higher education is also available through the Zayed Military Academy in Al Ain.
Women and Education
Women have taken maximum advantage of the opportunities offered by the educational system. This is highlighted by the results of the General Secondary School Certificate 1999, where female students performed better than their male partners for the third following year. There have been many female graduates from UAE University and the HCTs in a variety of fields, including the arts, engineering, science, media and communications, and computer technology.
The Education System
Primary and secondary education is provided for all UAE citizens. The existing educational structure, which was established in the early 1970s, is a four-tier system covering 14 years of education.

Kindergarten
Age level from: 4 to 5 years old

Primary
Length of program in years: 6
Age level from: 6 to 12 years old

Preparatory
Length of program in years: 3
Age level from: 12 to 15 years old

Secondary
Length of program in years: 3
Age level from: 15 to 18 years old
Certificate/diploma awarded: Secondary School Leaving Certificate

Technical Secondary School
Length of program in years: 6
Age level from: 12 to 18 years
Certificate/diploma awarded: Technical Secondary Diploma

Children with special needs
Handicapped centers supervised by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs provide to those with hearing and physical disabilities, the visually impaired and others with special needs. The Ministry is always improving its facilities, at the same time highlighting the role of the family in caring for the disabled. The percentage of disabled people in the UAE is similar to the worldwide average (i.e. 8–10 per cent of the population).
Some major new developments are under way, including a large centre in Abu Dhabi with 70 classrooms and 20 training workshops and the Al Thikka Club which opened in Sharjah. The Ministry of Education and Youth, together with the Red Crescent Society, also opened a centre for autistic children in Abu Dhabi, the first in a number of such centers planned by the Ministry.

Higher Education
Higher Colleges of Technology were established in 1988. Located in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah; these colleges prepare nationals for professional and technological careers in $$$$ government and private parts. Since their foundation, the colleges have grown a lot, with staff and students increasing by about 30 per cent each year.

*Conclusions
In the end of this report we know the meaning of education that encompasses teaching and learning specific skills . Also we show a education systems such as: Primary education Secondary education and another systems. I think the education is more important because it help us in our life and solves many problems ..

*Recommendations:

In the end of this report we know that The United Arab Emirates is now one of the most advanced countries in education providing its people the best schools and universities. It was noted in the recent success of the UAE Education system that the literacy rates have increased. In 1975, only 54% of men and 31% of women were literate. In 1998 this had risen to 73% for men and 77% for women.

First you need a list of the school rules, and you’ll have to read them and think about them some.

For this assignment, it’s probably best psych out what the teacher is after. Do you think it’s about proving that you’re aware of the rules? Do you think the idea is to make sure you did your own work–you can’t find it on the Internet? Is is all about making you think about responsible behavior, safety, etc.? Why do you think you were given this assignment? Did something happen in your class or your school? Is there a problem?

If there’s no special reason that you can think of, then just take your own best shot at it: why do you think schools have rules, and why are those the rules for your school?

After you have given it a little thought and formed your opinion about the rules, start writing.

Start with a statement of your position–a sentence or paragraph that states the opinion you are going to present, such as that school rules are necessary. Introduce the main points you are going to make to support your view.
Offer your main points, your major ideas about the topic . Give examples or evidence for each one. Discuss them in the same order in which you introduced them at the beginning.
Draw a conclusion that sums up what you’ve just said and proves your point, without just restating what you said at the start.
For example, in paragraph 1 you might say that school rules exist for three reasons. State the reasons. In paragraphs 2, 3, and 4, discuss each of the reasons in turn, giving some kind of example from school experience or something you know from the world at large, such as real-life incidents or laws. In the last paragraph, sum up by stating your conclusion, such as that it’s important to obey school rules, and why.

There you go.

what have other schools in the world been doing?

ماذا فعلت بعض المدراس في العالم لتقليل من الاحتباس الحراري؟

global warmig is a huge problem that we need coopration from all of as to face it . As we are students so there must be a lot of thing that we can do . One of the solution is to try to change the air conditioner to better ones which does not produce harm gases that effect the air . Another solution is to stop playing with any material that contains gases such as the colourful sprays . In addition we may also try to not do dangerous experment with chemical material in labs . In fact I know tha some of theis solutions are diffecult because for instance changing the AC will cost a lot .
In conclusion i think that all of as must do someting to stop that crise from increasing

I am proud of my school because of the values that are instilled in its students. The teachers and students put these values into practice by having an excellent peer support program, buddies program and student council.

Our schools buddies program partners the younger students with an older buddy. The older buddies carry out various team-building activities with the younger students. They also help the younger buddy by helping them build confidence in their new environment. This program builds friendships throughout the school and enables all students to interact as one student body.

We also have a brilliant peer support program in which we discuss the appropriate behaviour and manners that are expected at school. This activity is carried out in groups with each group assigned a year seven leader. The aim of these activities is to help with awareness and prevention of bullying and inappropriate behaviour. Through various games and activities we learn all about correct manners and being polite.

The schools student council is an excellent way of expressing the student’s ideas. Each class elects two students as their council representatives. These student councillors bring forward their classes ideas to help make our school even better. During the monthly meetings we discuss ideas for fundraising so we can make some of the ideas brought to the student council a reality, this includes things like our disco, water bubblers and donations to various charities. One of our major commitments has been to sponsor a South African child through World Vision.

The teachers and students continually work hard at making sure that the success of these programs can be seen in the students whilst in the playground, in the classroom and in our homes. Confirming that our schools values are alive and well!

Proud of my school

I am proud to call myself a student of Bala Vidya. For a child, the school is a first home and teachers are like second parents.
Now when I see a three-year-old smiling and playing, I think of the days when I first went to school. The affection and care these children get, I have got from my teachers.
Since my mother was working, I was left in school with my teachers. My teachers gave me much love and affection and also took care of me. That is why I never missed my mother.
As days passed, I was promoted to the higher classes. I was taught good manners. My school provided all the facilities when needed. I have been studying in this school since my pre-kg and I am now in std. XII. After my std. X exams, I thought my parents would change my school. But they did no such thing. Instead it was the appearance of the school that changed. I saw my school get a face-lift with a well-equipped computer lab and other facilities. My parents were very happy and wanted me to continue my studies in the same school.
But now, I will miss this wonderful school where I have studied for 14 long years. I feel now that it has come to an end suddenly. I have almost lived in my school.
I will miss my teachers, the principal, correspondent, the Education officer and all my friends in the school. (from KG to XII).
I feel sad that my school life has come to an end, but these memories will always remain evergreen…

Proud of my school

When people ask me what school I go to, I always answer, All Saints Catholic School. I suppose I could just say, “All Saints,” but I like to tell people that I go to a Catholic school. I am proud of my school and I am proud to be a Catholic.
Four hundred sixty-five students and 37 amazing teachers go to my school. Now that’s a lot of people! We are all unique, but we have one thing in common … our Catholic faith.
Many people may wonder how sharing our Catholic faith makes our school different. Well, there are lots of ways. I know that most schools play ‘O Canada’ first thing in the morning and we do, too, but we also begin and end our school day with a prayer. I think it’s nice to start our day with a reminder that God is watching over us, and sometimes after a long day at school we really need to hear that God loves us.
The way my school is decorated also shows our faith. There are reminders of our Catholic beliefs everywhere. When you walk in the front, you will see a plaque that says: “Christ is the reason for this school.”
As you walk down the hallways, there are pictures of the saints on the wall. My sister always points out the one she is named after — St. Bridget. And in each classroom there is a cross and a prayer table.
The way we celebrate special holidays helps us to feel closer to God. At Christmas, although we love the presents, our focus is really the birth of baby Jesus. We sing Christmas carols that celebrate his birthday, we make advent wreaths, and a manger is always set up in the front of the school.
It’s the same at Easter. I love eating chocolate, but we know that the true meaning of Easter is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord. Even for Mother’s and Father’s day we write prayers to our parents, and for some reason my mom always cries when she reads mine!
But it is not only how our school looks, and how we celebrate special times of the year that makes us different. Every day we are reminded to treat each other as God would want us to. Learning about the virtues helps us do this.
We remember empathy, kindness and acceptance when we play in the school yard. As we do our work in the classroom we think of the virtues of respect, self-control and fairness. Hope, conscience and love are virtues we use in our daily words and actions.
Everyone needs reminders about how to behave properly, and talking about the virtues helps us to follow the example of Jesus.
Our behaviour is different not only when we are in school, but also when we go home and work in our communities. Jesus reminds us to reach out to others who are in need. So we put our faith into action!
We donate some of our Halloween candies to Dr. Simone’s charity that helps poor people in Third World countries. Throughout the year we collect soap, shoes and even candles — we call that campaign “Light Up A Life.”
God tells us to “love our neighbours” and I have learned that this also means helping people who live far across the world.
Olivia Rogers, a Grade 5 student at All Saints School in Erin Mills, was among winners of a Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board speech contest that challenged pupils to speak about the value of Catholic education.

Bedford Modern School is a selective co-educational independent school in the Harpur area of Bedford, England.

BMS has its origins in the Bedford Charity, born from the endowments left by Sir William Harpur in the sixteenth century. Originally it was known as ‘the Writing School’, teaching copper plate handwriting in what is now the old Town Hall in St. Paul’s Square, Bedford. In 1834 it moved to prestigious mock Tudor Gothic premises, designed by Edward Blore in Harpur Square, the frontage of which is now part of the Harpur (shopping) Centre. The site became increasingly cramped, and in 1974 BMS moved again to its purpose-built premises on Manton Lane.

The School has had four names – the Writing School, the English School, the Commercial School and finally Bedford Modern School, the last change being made in 1873 to reflect the School’s modern curriculum, providing an education for the professions. Until the Second World War BMS provided education not only for the locality but also for many colonial and military personnel seeking good education for their young families. Since then BMS has grown considerably, becoming an independent school in 1976 and a coeducational day school in 2022, continuing to provide an education which is modern, rigorous and relevant.

[] The School Houses
Following a tradition of over a hundred years the Senior School Houses of BMS were; North, South, East, West, County and United Boarders. This last was comprised of the combined boarding houses: Culver, Shakespeare, and School House. The day boy houses often, though not always, reflected the parts of the town or county from which the boys hailed and were mentioned in the school song.

The current house system has been running for under 15 years. The houses and their house colours are:

Bell – Purple
Tilden – Green
Farrar – Light Blue
Oatley – Dark Blue
Rose – Gold
Mobbs – White

Each house has its own tie which consists of stripes of the three school colours and their own house colour. Inter-house sports cover all major and minor sports run by the school, at both junior and senior level, and range from rugby and hockey (major sports) to shooting and fencing (minor sports). There are also non-sporting events such as quizzes and music and drama competitions.

Each house is led by a Head of House (a member of staff), and a House Captain, two Monitorial Deputies and a Co-opted Deputy (Upper Sixth Formers).

The Junior School house system operates on similar principles, with 4 houses: Taylor, Kaye, Poole and Liddle.

[] 2022 Olympics
Bedford Modern School has been selected as an official training site for the London 2022 Olympics. The school is expected to attract Table Tennis teams training for the event. [1]

Phones at School: Should They Be Allowed?

The question of whether cell phones should be allowed in schools has been hotly debated over the years. Most school administrations regard cell phone use as disruptive and distracting, and have implemented policies that prohibit using them on school grounds. There are benefits to giving your kids cell phones for use outside of school, but before you add them to your family plan, read the pros and cons:
The Pros
You can be in touch with your children, and know their whereabouts.
Your kids can reach you in the event of an emergency, and vice versa.
If in danger, your children can reach the authorities or a medical provider.
Phones can be silenced during class or study periods, and active only in appropriate places.
Cell phones create a convenience that was previously unavailable. With cell phones, you can easily reach your kids for any reason: to ask them questions, change plans, or to simply say hello.
The Cons
Students often forget to turn off their phones in class, and ringing noises or text-message alerts disrupt learning.
Even if set to silent, cell phones can still cause distraction, since text messaging has become a high-tech method of passing notes in school.
Students have been known to use cell phones to call in bomb threats to schools, to avoid or condense class time.
In the event of a widespread crisis, rampant cell phone use can overload communication systems and render them inoperable.
Student cell phone networks add to the spread of rumors and misinformation, which can be harmful during a widespread crisis.
Phones can be used as cheating devices during exams.
The long-term physical effects of cell phone use are still undetermined.
There are compelling arguments on both sides of the debate, and both enthusiasts and critics make convincing points. What do you think? Take our poll POL?

In fact, the real decision regarding cell phones lies with parents. Short of checking each and every backpack, school officials can only enforce cell phone bans if they catch a student with a prohibited device. Would you allow your child to bring a cell phone to school

Introduction :
Homework, or homework assignment, refers to tasks assigned to students by their teachers to be completed mostly outside of class, and derives its name from the fact that most students do the majority of such work at home. Common homework assignments may include a quantity or period of reading to be performed, writing or typing to be completed, problems to be solved, a school project to be built (such as a diorama or display), or other skills to be practiced.

The body :

Main ******ives and reasons for homework
The basic ******ives of assigning homework to students are the same as schooling in general: To increase the knowledge and improve the abilities and skills of the students. However, opponents of homework cite homework as rote, or grind work, designed to take up children’s time, without offering tangible benefit. Homework may be designed to reinforce what students have already learned, prepare them for upcoming (or complex or difficult) lessons, extend what they know by having them apply it to new situations, or to integrate their abilities by applying many different skills to a single task. Homework also provides an opportunity for parents to participate in their children’s education.
Amount of homework required
A review of over 60 research studies showed that, within limits, there is a positive correlation between the amount of homework done and student achievement. The research synthesis also showed that too much homework could be extremely counterproductive, causing students to "burn out". The research supports the "10-minute rule", the commonly accepted practice of assigning 10 minutes of homework per day per grade-level. For example, under this system, 1st graders would receive 10 minutes of homework per night, while 5th graders would get 50 minutes’ worth, 9th graders 90 minutes of homework, etc.
Many schools exceed these recommendations or do not count assigned reading in the time limit.
In the United Kingdom, recommendations on homework quantities were outlined by the then Department for Education in 1998. These ranged from 10 minutes daily reading for 5-year-olds, to up to 2.5 hours per day for the pupils in Year 11 aged 15 or 16.
Homework strategies
Effective study skills can help to speed up the completion of homework, giving a student more free time.
In cases where the teacher assigns homework verbally or on the chalkboard, the student can avoid forgetting or misremembering the assignments by writing them down and keeping them well-organized in a notebook, planner, or agenda. It is also recommended that one develop a strategy that decreases the student’s chances of forgetting completed homework at home.
Students with a positive attitude toward homework, who enjoy it and work on it enthusiastically, generally complete their homework faster than if they view their homework negatively. Reluctance and resistance can make homework take longer. Minimizing distractions, by studying in a quiet room and leaving the TV off, etc, make it easier to concentrate and get homework done faster, while doing a better job. Contrary to specialists’ recommendations, there is no evidence that the radio, as opposed to the television, hinders performance. This may be because radios emit only audio and no video, so there is less distraction.
One approach for minimizing the amount of homework a student has to do at home is for the student to complete as much of it as possible while still at school. Spare time between classes, during lunch, and especially during classes may be enough to get most or even all of the student’s homework completed, depending on how much is assigned. This approach may have negative consequences, such as causing students to skip lunch or miss important information in other courses
Computers are often used to complete homework assignments.
There are many homework-related resources available on the World Wide Web. There are web-sites dedicated to communicating about homework, for teachers to post assignments on-line for students, and to keep parents informed. Many schools host their own homework posting services on their websites. There are non-profit organizations on-line that help students with their homework for free. There are also tutorials on most school subjects, especially math, which students can use if they don’t understand their homework assignments.
Many libraries provide on-line resources which present subjects specifically for students who are looking for something to write about. And there are archives of ready-made homework assignments, including handouts, which teachers can use to provide homework to their students. Many other websites are used for research, especially search engines, such as Google, and encyclopedias.
Apart from above given resources there are hundreds of websites who are providing homework help at nominal rates. Such websites claim to help students understand concepts.
Some parents choose to monitor their students’ usage of the internet, as some of the sites may be found deceptive or inappropriate by academic institutions. Also, Internet resources offer students a wealth of opportunity for plagiarism.

Tutoring

With an enhanced emphasis on homework, parents and students are turning to customized solutions. Private institutions, such as Sylvan Learning Centers and Kaplan, help students through individually-tailored assignments. Other parents find help through their community where tutoring, study groups and other resources may be made available. Many libraries provide tutors for helping students with their homework, both in-person and on-line. See Homework help service.
If it is necessary to hire a tutor to assist with a child’s homework, parents should also speak to the child’s teacher about the amount and the appropriateness of the homework load.
Parental homework strategies
Students generally benefit when their parents become involved in the homework process. However, too much parental involvement can prevent the positive effects of homework.
Setting a regular time to do homeworkand designating a specific place for doing homework helps keep the student well-focused on his or her studies. A flat surface, good lighting, school supplies (pens, pencils, paper, scissors, glue, eraser, ruler, etc.) and a dictionary are often essential.
Teachers need to know what their students understand and can do independently, therefore they often advise parents not to do the children’s homework assignments for them, nor correct their children’s homework assignments and have them copy the corrections. Grades, and the teachers’ other feedback, need to apply to the student’s performance, not to the parents’ performance, nor to student-parent co-performance.
On the other hand it is also fairly common for teachers to give assignments far beyond what students can do independently and for teachers to expect parents to go over homework and have the student make corrections before it is turned in. Practices vary.
Independent learning is encouraged and improved by providing guidance (such as explaining how to look up information or find a word in a dictionary) rather than merely providing the answers to the child’s homework-related questions.
Having one’s child read out loud allows the parent to provide corrections and help the student learn how to read better.
When parents do "homework" of their own at the same time as their children, it sets a good example and helps to foster a good attitude toward learning.
One key role for parents is to negotiate with teachers and schools should the homework burden be unmanageable or age-inappropriate for the students. This negotiation may take the form of speaking with the teacher individually, speaking to other school officials, or coordinating with other parents or with the PTA or school board to get the homework load for the entire class or school reduced.
Teaching and homework effectiveness
Student learning improves when homework serves a clear purpose and is matched to both the skills of each individual student and to the current topics being taught in class. Feedback improves the effectiveness of homework, especially when given in a timely manner (within 24 hours). Effective feedback improves student learning by correcting misunderstanding, validating process, and highlighting errors in thinking. Embedded comments provide much better feedback than a mere grade at the top of the paper. Homework must be concentrated to be effective: mastering takes days or weeks of practice. Fifty-percent mastery may be achieved after 4 practice sessions, but it takes 28 practice sessions to achieve approximately the eighty-percent mastery level.
Another way teachers can be more effective is by alerting parents to their students’ homework, giving parents a chance to become familiar with the material and their child’s progress. This also encourages parents to become involved in the homework process. Messages tend to get lost in transit or even altered when using "pupil post" (passing verbal messages or written notes back and forth using the student as courier), and therefore direct communication is much more effective and prevents frustration all around. Methods available for directly reporting homework assignments (to both students and their parents) include the phone, email, and centralized web-pages.
Criticism
There is research supporting the idea that homework is of little educational value, and that for young children (i.e., under 13) it may have a negative effect on learning.
History of homework In the United States
Historically, homework was frowned upon in American culture. With few students interested in higher education, and due to the necessity to complete daily chores, homework was discouraged not only by parents, but also by school districts. In 1901, the California legislature passed an act that effectively abolished homework for those who attended kindergarten through the eighth grade. But, in the 1950s, with increasing pressure on the United States to stay ahead in the Cold War, homework made a resurgence, and children were encouraged to keep up with their Russian counterparts. By the end of the Cold War in the early 1990s, the consensus in American education was overwhelmingly in favor of issuing homework to students of all grade levels.
In a study done at the University of Michigan in 2022, research concluded that the amount of homework given is increasing over time. In a sample taken of students between the ages of 6 and 9, it was shown that students spend more than two hours a week on homework, as opposed to 44 minutes in 1981. Harris Cooper, nations top homework scholar, concluded after a comprehensive review that homework does not improve academic achievements for grade school students. Cooper analyzed dozens of students and found that kids who are assigned homework in middle and high school actually score "somewhat" better on standardized tests, but that kids who do 60 to 90 minutes of homework in middle school and more than 2 hours in high school actually score worse.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, I hope you like it Oninal my humble and that he had taken in all aspects of the report

My opinion:

# The homework is very important for each student, especially the student neglected because they force the student to the neglected his studies and duties of the brainstorming
# On the other hand, the homework help the student improve their skills and strengthen his memory allows him to get the degrees of superiority
