Junk Food للصف الحادي عشر

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته ..

تعبير عن Junk Food

Junk food is an argumentative/ a controversial issue/case/topic/matter.A great number of people argue about banning/ allowing junk food. Some people are with allowing/ banning JF. Others are against banning/ allowing JF. To my mind,………………………

This is due to health problems, distracting attention and money wasting.

For health problems, Too much JF can lead to obesity. JF is full of sugars, fats and calories which are harmful to our bodies , For example , thy can cause liver, kidny and heart diseases.

For the distraction of attention, JF can take our attention away from the teacher and from our classes because it has a lot of sugary substances .

For money wasting,

In conclusion, JF is harmful to our bodies and our to our minds as well, so it should be banned

Introduction :
Of course there is a close relationship between the community and become drug addicts, among them members of the community because of the lack of abuser and the ideal role model .. In the absence of the role of a watchdog on the behavior of the young man who falls in the clutches of drugs in their various forms .. Authenticates the illusion figure addict that he lives in a strange world is not the pressure.
Subject:
Addiction is the work or material from which the addict feels the urge and continue to be compelling performance of this work, or the use of such material at any price.
Article narcotic (drug)
Are all the raw material or product contains substances sedative or stimulant, which, if used in non-medical or industrial to achieve effects and negative consequences, and lead the individual into a state of dependence, harm him physically, psychologically and socially.
And dependence is the following:
Pattern in the maladaptation to use drugs, as it leads to a marked deterioration, which leads to three or more of the following:
1) the need for a significant increase of the drug to reach the desired vulnerability.
2) physical and psychological symptoms appear when you stop using the drug.
3) take the drug gradually larger amounts and longer than it was at the beginning of a person familiar with the deal.
4) There is an urgent and lasting desire to use, offset by failed attempts to quit or control in the abuse of the drug.
Who is the addict? And what is characterized by the addict
1) person in the community is balanced – not clear – and is stable.
2) self-centered focus on the same without the slightest interest in the welfare of others, not only interested in his own problems by.
3) the main problem is to maintain a stable resource to get the drug, or instant gratification of desire for the drug, followed by any means whatever the seriousness of that desire to satisfy the urgent and severe.
4) lacks the autonomous system and the ability of the will and ambition, does not have to have self-confidence, and faith in his personality, and lack of ability to take responsibility.
5) the degree of readiness of the pain of all kinds is very high, and can not take criticism and possible frustration.
6) failure in the development of human relations and natural resources – personal relationships tend to be limited only to other members in the world of drug addicts, and so on, the addict becomes a social outcast, and living in the unit hard.
Causes of addiction
There are many reasons to pay rights to enter into addiction, which calls the distinction between these drug abusers according to their grades, the characters, and these Itsnf to:
Drug abusers with the characters before the patient addiction
Such as people who are exposed to health conditions requiring the use of drugs, particularly morphine used as an anesthetic for the pain of severe disease such as cancer – surgery – fractures – burns …. etc.
The problem occurs after the patient attaches the drug inadvertently or desire.
Drug abusers with figures troubled by addiction: These are the characters:
1. Personal self (Alsikobathip):
A human personality who only loves himself and hates society, and has a diagonally and criminal behavior, as long as it serves his own purposes, do not feel any guilt in Isaouath of society, is not afraid nor ashamed, hostile, corrupt, drug dealer … etc.
2. Avoidant personality:
Is the human personality sensitive, shy, who isolates himself from others, nor the strength to face them, not to express himself and his views, disturbed if he is forced to deal with people, resort to the materials which will guide the tension and remove the shy, the more forced by circumstances to meet the others, then repeat to drug use driven by the development of addiction.
3. Personal tense anxious:
Human personality is impulsive passive concern fearful, do not sit back, exhausting himself and who is around him for no reason, is unable to adapt to society, recourse to the material that removes the tension, and provide him with calm and relaxation.
4. Personal depression:
The human personality which tends to grief and seclusion, and there he wished to enjoy life, does not trust in himself, does not have hope for the present or future, dominated by frustration and depression for days, and resort to substances that cause him to recovery, joy and pleasure provisional … And frequency of use that led addiction.
5. Personal immature:
A human personality that arises quickly, react to the slightest reason, inflate events simple narrow horizon, and then calm down and apologize, and remorse after he repeats back the same method, and this behavior is unique to him … Resort to re-narcotic substances to control the emotions.
Drug abusers who are willing to abuse and addiction by one or more of the following factors
Featuring characters ready availability of this category in their personality due to the following factors::
1 – environmental factors:
Although there was no relationship between addiction and the social or economic, but it was noted recently that the number of addicts from the middle class or privileged class of drug addicts is increasing, as was also noted that addicts Egyptians from the poorer classes continues to grow … Manual work such as people working low-wage, especially those who live in crowded areas.
These factors, combined, work to push the person towards addiction, thinking they alleviate their suffering, and also observed a lower age addict in the process of bringing the age of boyhood, which helped, and there is paralysis between the boys and young men at the beginning of the experience of abuse.
2 – family factors:
If the parents or one of a kind of drug addict, and also a mother authoritarian father is absent, may cause the lack of human example, and self-centered, and indulgence in the minor because of the quality of family leadership.
3 – the problems of children which makes them more vulnerable to abuse in old age: in, inter alia, the problems represented by:
A – health problems early.
B – behavioral problems of autistic children and aggressive and shy … etc..
T – the problem of concentration on the self as a principle in life according to what he had learned of the family.
W – the problem of self-confidence as a result of parents shed.
C – rebellion against parents or shed is authoritarian in the family.
Conclusion:
In fact, the first practical step for the treatment of addiction is admitting to itself and to those close to him that he is addicted. In fact, consider this step of the hardest things an addict. Valmdinm deny his addiction, and denies and says that he is capable of stopping the abuse when he wants it, especially in the early stages of addiction. The reason for this is due to many things but the most important lies in the community itself, which the community finds addict a pariah and a criminal and decadent. The addict knows this very well so it is undeniable that the person addicted does not make the community even seen this perception of inferiority. The solution lies in our hands, a change our view of the addict.
I ask the latter to the people, all people to change their outlook for the addict is not the offender but are victims of these drugs, it has robbed him of his mind and paralyzed thinking is urgently needed today and we stand with him until it passes ordeal strong proud of himself. But if you continue our perspective on what it is now even a recovered and healed, and saw how people view him with scorn and hate and fear him and stay away for this reason it is due to the strong addiction.
If you ask me how I doubt the patient time Assaib
Careful to not see my depression returned Vicmt me or blame Habib

Phones at School: Should They Be Allowed?

The question of whether cell phones should be allowed in schools has been hotly debated over the years. Most school administrations regard cell phone use as disruptive and distracting, and have implemented policies that prohibit using them on school grounds. There are benefits to giving your kids cell phones for use outside of school, but before you add them to your family plan, read the pros and cons:
The Pros
You can be in touch with your children, and know their whereabouts.
Your kids can reach you in the event of an emergency, and vice versa.
If in danger, your children can reach the authorities or a medical provider.
Phones can be silenced during class or study periods, and active only in appropriate places.
Cell phones create a convenience that was previously unavailable. With cell phones, you can easily reach your kids for any reason: to ask them questions, change plans, or to simply say hello.
The Cons
Students often forget to turn off their phones in class, and ringing noises or text-message alerts disrupt learning.
Even if set to silent, cell phones can still cause distraction, since text messaging has become a high-tech method of passing notes in school.
Students have been known to use cell phones to call in bomb threats to schools, to avoid or condense class time.
In the event of a widespread crisis, rampant cell phone use can overload communication systems and render them inoperable.
Student cell phone networks add to the spread of rumors and misinformation, which can be harmful during a widespread crisis.
Phones can be used as cheating devices during exams.
The long-term physical effects of cell phone use are still undetermined.
There are compelling arguments on both sides of the debate, and both enthusiasts and critics make convincing points. What do you think? Take our poll POL?

In fact, the real decision regarding cell phones lies with parents. Short of checking each and every backpack, school officials can only enforce cell phone bans if they catch a student with a prohibited device. Would you allow your child to bring a cell phone to school

Introduction :
Homework, or homework assignment, refers to tasks assigned to students by their teachers to be completed mostly outside of class, and derives its name from the fact that most students do the majority of such work at home. Common homework assignments may include a quantity or period of reading to be performed, writing or typing to be completed, problems to be solved, a school project to be built (such as a diorama or display), or other skills to be practiced.

The body :

Main ******ives and reasons for homework
The basic ******ives of assigning homework to students are the same as schooling in general: To increase the knowledge and improve the abilities and skills of the students. However, opponents of homework cite homework as rote, or grind work, designed to take up children’s time, without offering tangible benefit. Homework may be designed to reinforce what students have already learned, prepare them for upcoming (or complex or difficult) lessons, extend what they know by having them apply it to new situations, or to integrate their abilities by applying many different skills to a single task. Homework also provides an opportunity for parents to participate in their children’s education.
Amount of homework required
A review of over 60 research studies showed that, within limits, there is a positive correlation between the amount of homework done and student achievement. The research synthesis also showed that too much homework could be extremely counterproductive, causing students to "burn out". The research supports the "10-minute rule", the commonly accepted practice of assigning 10 minutes of homework per day per grade-level. For example, under this system, 1st graders would receive 10 minutes of homework per night, while 5th graders would get 50 minutes’ worth, 9th graders 90 minutes of homework, etc.
Many schools exceed these recommendations or do not count assigned reading in the time limit.
In the United Kingdom, recommendations on homework quantities were outlined by the then Department for Education in 1998. These ranged from 10 minutes daily reading for 5-year-olds, to up to 2.5 hours per day for the pupils in Year 11 aged 15 or 16.
Homework strategies
Effective study skills can help to speed up the completion of homework, giving a student more free time.
In cases where the teacher assigns homework verbally or on the chalkboard, the student can avoid forgetting or misremembering the assignments by writing them down and keeping them well-organized in a notebook, planner, or agenda. It is also recommended that one develop a strategy that decreases the student’s chances of forgetting completed homework at home.
Students with a positive attitude toward homework, who enjoy it and work on it enthusiastically, generally complete their homework faster than if they view their homework negatively. Reluctance and resistance can make homework take longer. Minimizing distractions, by studying in a quiet room and leaving the TV off, etc, make it easier to concentrate and get homework done faster, while doing a better job. Contrary to specialists’ recommendations, there is no evidence that the radio, as opposed to the television, hinders performance. This may be because radios emit only audio and no video, so there is less distraction.
One approach for minimizing the amount of homework a student has to do at home is for the student to complete as much of it as possible while still at school. Spare time between classes, during lunch, and especially during classes may be enough to get most or even all of the student’s homework completed, depending on how much is assigned. This approach may have negative consequences, such as causing students to skip lunch or miss important information in other courses
Computers are often used to complete homework assignments.
There are many homework-related resources available on the World Wide Web. There are web-sites dedicated to communicating about homework, for teachers to post assignments on-line for students, and to keep parents informed. Many schools host their own homework posting services on their websites. There are non-profit organizations on-line that help students with their homework for free. There are also tutorials on most school subjects, especially math, which students can use if they don’t understand their homework assignments.
Many libraries provide on-line resources which present subjects specifically for students who are looking for something to write about. And there are archives of ready-made homework assignments, including handouts, which teachers can use to provide homework to their students. Many other websites are used for research, especially search engines, such as Google, and encyclopedias.
Apart from above given resources there are hundreds of websites who are providing homework help at nominal rates. Such websites claim to help students understand concepts.
Some parents choose to monitor their students’ usage of the internet, as some of the sites may be found deceptive or inappropriate by academic institutions. Also, Internet resources offer students a wealth of opportunity for plagiarism.

Tutoring

With an enhanced emphasis on homework, parents and students are turning to customized solutions. Private institutions, such as Sylvan Learning Centers and Kaplan, help students through individually-tailored assignments. Other parents find help through their community where tutoring, study groups and other resources may be made available. Many libraries provide tutors for helping students with their homework, both in-person and on-line. See Homework help service.
If it is necessary to hire a tutor to assist with a child’s homework, parents should also speak to the child’s teacher about the amount and the appropriateness of the homework load.
Parental homework strategies
Students generally benefit when their parents become involved in the homework process. However, too much parental involvement can prevent the positive effects of homework.
Setting a regular time to do homeworkand designating a specific place for doing homework helps keep the student well-focused on his or her studies. A flat surface, good lighting, school supplies (pens, pencils, paper, scissors, glue, eraser, ruler, etc.) and a dictionary are often essential.
Teachers need to know what their students understand and can do independently, therefore they often advise parents not to do the children’s homework assignments for them, nor correct their children’s homework assignments and have them copy the corrections. Grades, and the teachers’ other feedback, need to apply to the student’s performance, not to the parents’ performance, nor to student-parent co-performance.
On the other hand it is also fairly common for teachers to give assignments far beyond what students can do independently and for teachers to expect parents to go over homework and have the student make corrections before it is turned in. Practices vary.
Independent learning is encouraged and improved by providing guidance (such as explaining how to look up information or find a word in a dictionary) rather than merely providing the answers to the child’s homework-related questions.
Having one’s child read out loud allows the parent to provide corrections and help the student learn how to read better.
When parents do "homework" of their own at the same time as their children, it sets a good example and helps to foster a good attitude toward learning.
One key role for parents is to negotiate with teachers and schools should the homework burden be unmanageable or age-inappropriate for the students. This negotiation may take the form of speaking with the teacher individually, speaking to other school officials, or coordinating with other parents or with the PTA or school board to get the homework load for the entire class or school reduced.
Teaching and homework effectiveness
Student learning improves when homework serves a clear purpose and is matched to both the skills of each individual student and to the current topics being taught in class. Feedback improves the effectiveness of homework, especially when given in a timely manner (within 24 hours). Effective feedback improves student learning by correcting misunderstanding, validating process, and highlighting errors in thinking. Embedded comments provide much better feedback than a mere grade at the top of the paper. Homework must be concentrated to be effective: mastering takes days or weeks of practice. Fifty-percent mastery may be achieved after 4 practice sessions, but it takes 28 practice sessions to achieve approximately the eighty-percent mastery level.
Another way teachers can be more effective is by alerting parents to their students’ homework, giving parents a chance to become familiar with the material and their child’s progress. This also encourages parents to become involved in the homework process. Messages tend to get lost in transit or even altered when using "pupil post" (passing verbal messages or written notes back and forth using the student as courier), and therefore direct communication is much more effective and prevents frustration all around. Methods available for directly reporting homework assignments (to both students and their parents) include the phone, email, and centralized web-pages.
Criticism
There is research supporting the idea that homework is of little educational value, and that for young children (i.e., under 13) it may have a negative effect on learning.
History of homework In the United States
Historically, homework was frowned upon in American culture. With few students interested in higher education, and due to the necessity to complete daily chores, homework was discouraged not only by parents, but also by school districts. In 1901, the California legislature passed an act that effectively abolished homework for those who attended kindergarten through the eighth grade. But, in the 1950s, with increasing pressure on the United States to stay ahead in the Cold War, homework made a resurgence, and children were encouraged to keep up with their Russian counterparts. By the end of the Cold War in the early 1990s, the consensus in American education was overwhelmingly in favor of issuing homework to students of all grade levels.
In a study done at the University of Michigan in 2022, research concluded that the amount of homework given is increasing over time. In a sample taken of students between the ages of 6 and 9, it was shown that students spend more than two hours a week on homework, as opposed to 44 minutes in 1981. Harris Cooper, nations top homework scholar, concluded after a comprehensive review that homework does not improve academic achievements for grade school students. Cooper analyzed dozens of students and found that kids who are assigned homework in middle and high school actually score "somewhat" better on standardized tests, but that kids who do 60 to 90 minutes of homework in middle school and more than 2 hours in high school actually score worse.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, I hope you like it Oninal my humble and that he had taken in all aspects of the report

My opinion:

# The homework is very important for each student, especially the student neglected because they force the student to the neglected his studies and duties of the brainstorming
# On the other hand, the homework help the student improve their skills and strengthen his memory allows him to get the degrees of superiority

Demographics
the population of Lebanon was estimated to be 4,017,095 in July 2022, however no official census has been taken since 1932 due to the sensitive confessional political balance between Lebanon’s various religious groups.
Arts and literature
By the turn of the 20th century, Beirut was vying with Cairo to be the major center for modern Arab thought, with many newspapers, magazines and literary societies.
In literature, Khalil Gibran, who was born in Bsharri, is particularly known for his book The Prophet, which has been translated into more than twenty different languages.[133] Several contemporary Lebanese writers have also achieved international success; including Elias Khoury, Amin Maalouf, and Hanan al-Shaykh.
In art, Moustafa Farroukh was one of Lebanon’s most prominent painters of the 20th century. Formally trained in Rome and Paris, he exhibited in venues from Paris to New York to Beirut over his career.
Many more interesting and contemporary artists are currently active , such as Walid Raad a contemporary media artist currently residing in New York.
Ashkal alwan, the Lebanese association for plastic arts , is a platform for the creation and exchange of artistic practices. As a non-profit, the association is committed to education, production, support and circulation of creative and intellectual endeavors rooted in an engagement with civil society.
The Lebanese Association for Plastic Arts, Ashkal Alwan was founded in 1994 by Christine Tohme (Curator), Marwan Rechmaoui (Artist), Rania Tabbara (Graphic Designer and Interior Designer), Mustapha Yamout (Cultural Events Organizer) and Leila Mroueh (Communications Director). Initially, Ashkal Alwan promoted and introduced the work of artists who have been engaged in critical art practices within the context of post-war Lebanon.
the Home Works Forum is a multidisciplinary platform that takes place in Beirut, Lebanon about every other year. it has evolved into one of the most vibrant platforms for research and exchange on cultural practices in the region and beyond.
The main languages being taught in schools and universities are listed as: Arabic, PersianFrench and English.
Music
Music is pervasive in Lebanese society.[134] While traditional folk music remains popular in Lebanon, modern music reconciling Western and traditional Arabic styles, pop, and fusion are rapidly advancing in popularity. Radio stations feature a variety of music, including traditional Lebanese, classical Arabic, and modern French, English, American, and Latin tunes. Prominent traditional musicians include Fairuz, an icon during the civil war, Sabah, Wadih El Safi, Majida El Roumi , Najwa Karam, and Nawal Al Zoghbi who built an international audience for the genre. Marcel Khalife, a musician who blends classical Arab music with modern sounds, boasts immense popularity for his politically charged lyrics Distinguished pop artists include Nancy Ajram, whose albums sell into the millions, Haifa Wehbe, The 4 Cats—an all-female group—, Fadl Shaker and Elissa who reportedly sold millions of copies in the ME and won three World Music Awards becoming the first and only Arabic artist to achieve this.
According to the World Intellectual Property Organization, Lebanon’s music industry is growing and could attain leading status in the region. Lebanese performers are celebrated throughout the Arab World, and with the notable exception of Egypt enjoy increasing regional popularity. Rising demand for Arabic music outside Western Asia has provided Lebanese artists with a small but significant global audience. However, widespread piracy continues to inhibit the music industry’s growth.

Religion
Lebanon’s population is estimated to be 59.7% Muslim (Shia, Sunni, Druze, Isma’ilite, Alawite, or Nusayri), 39% Christian ( Syriac Maronite Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Melkite Catholic, Armenian Orthodox, Syriac Catholic, Armenian Catholic, Syriac Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Chaldean, Assyrian, Copt, Protestant), and 1.3% Other Over the past 60 years, there has been a steady decline in the number of Christians as compared to Muslims, due to higher emigration rates among Christians, and a higher birth rate among the Muslim population. The most recent study conducted by Statistics Lebanon, a Beirut-based research firm, found that approximately 28% of the population was Sunni, 28% Shi’a, 21.5% Maronite, 8% Greek Orthodox, 5% Druze, and 4%Greek Catholic.
There are 18 state-recognized religious sects – 4 Muslim, 12 Christian, 1 Druze, and 1 Jewish..
he Shi’a community has been estimated to be between 28%[112] and 40% of Lebanon’s total population, and is often described as being the largest of Lebanon’s Muslim communities, or the largest of the 18 recognized religious sects in Lebanon.] Shi’a residents primarily live in West Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, andsouthern Lebanon.
The Sunni community is estimated to be 28% of Lebanon’s total population. Sunni residents primarily live in West Beirut, the southern coast of Lebanon, and northern Lebanon.
The Maronite community is estimated to be approximately 21.5% of Lebanon’s total population. Maronite residents tend to live in East Beirut and the mountains of LebanonThey are the largest Christian community in Lebanon
The Greek orthodox community is estimated to be approximately 8% of Lebanon’s total population. Greek orthodox residents primarily live in Koura, Beirut, Zahleh, Rachaya, Matn, Aley, Akkar, Tripoli, Hasbaya and Marjeyoun. They are the second largest Christian community in Lebanon and the forth largest religious community in the country.

Louis Pasteur was born in a little village in the south – east of France in 1882
He studied chemistry at the university of Paris , the capital , and then he taught chemistry in the south of France. In1867 he returned to Paris as a professor of chemistry. Pasteur died in 1895.
At that time, milk was always been a very important part of people’s diet. But a hundred years ago people didn’t have refrigerators so milk became sour after a short time and they couldn’t drink it.
Pasteur wanted to know why this happened. He discovered that microbes from the air entered the milk and turned it sour. He began his experiments and in 1862 he noticed that if he heated the milk to about 64 degrees for half an hour and then cooled it quickly to about 10 degrees , the microbes were killed. But heating the milk in this way didn’t change its taste

Reading Comprehension (15 marks)

Read the following passage , then answer the questions bellow.

It is a disturbing fact that man has never stopped polluting and destroying his environment. The reason for this are too many to count. We must largely blame using pesticides and other man-made poisonous substances as well as man’s greed for wealth and power.
Industry has grown rapidly, and it has become a common practice for factories to dispose of their water in streams, rivers and seas, causing great loss of river and marine life. Modern agricultural methods include using pesticides which effectively control insects classified as pets, but which also destroy many that are not. An increase in population has meant more construction and with it the destruction of much of the rainforests that provide shelter for wild animals.
To satisfy man’s selfish desire, the polar bear in North America, hunted by sportsmen, is under threat, whales are killed worldwide for the oil and the food they yield. These are only a few of the species that face the danger of extinction.
The problem is receiving worldwide recognition, and some action is being taken. For example, pollution in the River Thames has been greatly reduced, trading in some furs has been forbidden, ivory trade has been banned and pressure groups like" Friends of the Earth" do valuable work in this noble cause.

Essay about food chain للصف الحادي عشر

A food chain is an idea developed by a scientist named Charles Elton in 1927. He described the way plants get energy from sunlight, plant-eating animals get their energy from eating plants, and meat-eating animals get their energy from eating other animals. The idea of a chain means that all these animals are linked together, so anything that affects one link in the chain affects everything in the chain. ]The key concept that we need to learn from food chains, food webs and food pyramids is the transfer of energy. For all life on earth there is only one available source of energy, the sun. Furthermore, only plants can change this energy into a form that can be used by animals. All plants rely either directly or indirectly on plants for their energy. Plants feed upon sunlight. Only plants have the ability to convert sunlight into food that they and animals can use. Feeding levels are also called trophic levels. The word "trophic" is a Greek word for nourishment. To determine the trophic level, we count the number of energy transfers. Green plants are at the first trophic, or nourishment, level because there has been one transfer of energy, from the sun to the plants. The first link in the chain, the plant, is called the producer, while all the links above it are called consumers. For example, look at a simple chain in which grass uses sunlight to produce sugars and proteins so it can grow. Rabbits eat the grass, and get energy from it. Foxes eat rabbits and get energy from them. Nothing eats foxes, so they are said to be at the top of that particular food chain. If something happens to the grass, suppose a farmer plows up some of the grass to plant a field. Then the rabbits have less food and some of them will die. Then because there are fewer rabbits, some of the foxes will die, too, even though they don’t eat the grass directly. Of course, in the real world, there are no simple food chains like this. Rabbits eat many things bes…
ides grass, and foxes eat many things besides rabbits and other things also eat grass and rabbits. When talking about the real world, it is more common to think of food webs. Food chains are still an important concept to understand. In the 1960s, a pesticide called DDT became popular for its effectiveness in killing insect pests. It was sprayed in small concentrations, so as not to affect larger animals, but it never went away once it was sprayed. Eventually, rain washed it into rivers and lakes, where the concentration was still very small, but this is where the food chain took effect. DDT was taken up by plankton in the water, and accumulated in them. Theywere eaten by small fish, so each small fish accumulated all t…
